About Julie and Beth

Julie and Beth are best friend designers that grew up together in Tomball, Texas. Each received basketball scholarships to college and began designing and collaborating upon graduation. After years of sketching and talking about starting their own business, JulieBeth officially formed in February 2007.

These two entrepreneurs work to travel. All of their designs are inspired from their treks together. They are currently traveling in Ireland and Spain.

Beth serves as Managing Partner and holds an MBA from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Julie serves as Creative Director and holds a bachelor's degree from Hastings College in Nebraska.

About the Designs

This 2008 collection is attributed to a 4,000 mile "Thelma and Louise" trip in a ten year-old F-150 pickup through Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park in Montana and the Black Hills of South Dakota. The leathers, hides and shapes of their inaugural collection reflect this journey together as well as their respective backgrounds in farming and ranching. Beth's family runs a beef cattle operation in Sumner County, Tennessee and Julie's family runs a farming and beef cattle operation in Webster County, Nebraska.

Each of the bags in the 2008 Collection have a special name with meaning. For example, The Virginia is named for their mothers, The Anna for Beth's niece and The Cocktail Napkin because when the inspiration hit, their collaboration required a prototype. They reached for the cocktail napkin underneath their jack and coke and amaretto sour, respectively.

We are very proud that each JulieBeth bag is made, by hand, domestically in the United States of America. Great pride is placed into each stitch and every seam. JulieBeth customers can be confident that their bag is crafted with the greatest quality.
